A wooden ship, the H.M.S. Beagle, carried Charles Darwin to make observations about the geographical distribution of plants and animals... imagine what could have been accomplished with a computer, satellites and the Internet.

BeagleToGo is a site for research and collaboration on emerging technology used to collect and access data in the field. 

My Research

My research is organized around the principle of making and designing technology to solve user needs. BeagleToGo is an organizational space to facilitate the creation of field tools to learn about the natural world and report back what you see, be it in a city, country-side or the wild blue yonder, to better understand biology in our changing world.
